why do yoga?

The short answer is that yoga makes you feel better. Practicing the postures, breathing exercises and meditation makes you healthier in body, mind and spirit. Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, shape up -- all at the same time.

For many people, that's enough of an answer. But there's more if you're interested.

For starters, yoga is good for what ails you. Specifically, research shows that yoga helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and other conditions and diseases. What's more, yoga:

  • Improves muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina
  • Reduces stress and tension
  • Boosts self esteem
  • Improves concentration and creativity
  • Lowers fat
  • Improves circulation
  • Stimulates the immune system

Beginners Session

Sign up for Beginners 10 Week Session - Ready to start?  We need three more to begin. 10 Weeks/$100. Class covers Asana (Postures), Pranayama (Breathing), and Meditation. Work with props and modifications.  Good for beginners but all levels welcome.

Sign up for Vinyasa Flow -very warm (not hot, 70-75 degrees) room. 60-75min. flow. All continuing levels welcome, previous experience strongly recommended. (Beginners can call for six week Basics session)

Paying for Classes:

Checks made directly out to your instructor are accepted at the studio or through PayPal on line.

Major credit cards are accepted on line through PayPal.

Cash is accepted at the studio in the exact amount for session or drop-in. (cash is not kept at the studio)

Drop-In Fee/$15

Missed classes can be made up at any scheduled class during the week and up to two weeks after pass expires or while you hold a pass at the studio.
